Show day started off nice. We had over 100
cars on the grounds, not all made it to the show field. Some
only came for the activities, others were for sale. Show was
going well till just before noon when the sky opened up.
We had about 10 minutes warning by someone watching the weather
on their phone, never saw a show field empty so fast. By
the time the rain hit their was only a dozen or show cars still
on the field. Most people put their cars under cover or in their
trailers and by the time the sun came out it got very hot and
humid and it was getting close to the Annual Meeting time in our
air conditioned building so they just went early. Good
meeting with re-election of President Andy and Regional Director
Al and 4 directors at large. It was decided to add more
directors to increase opportunity for members to be involved.
Meet week finished up with the Memorial Picnic to have one last
meal together and remember members that have past or in poor
health.
