I have come across a really cute little trailer. It looks like it would be Crosley size (or other small car). Did Crosley ever make or sell trailers?

I never saw an answer to this question so I guess I'll take a stab at it. There is currently a Crosley Trailer company.

I don't know if there is a family connection but no connection to the original company.

I think the car company may have made small trailers during the war along with a lot of other things but I'm not sure why I'm remembering that. Check out Crosley's War Years.

Jim, maybe you were thinking of Bantam, after getting screwed out of the Jeep contract they made Jeep trailers during the war.

Short answer, no, Crosley didn't build Jeep trailers. American Bantam which was the reorganized company of the bankrupt American Austin made Jeep trailers during WW2. The US Army put out bids for a small 4 X 4 vehicle to be built for military use. American Bantam came up with the best design and several hundred were built but the Army took the design and gave it tow Willys and Ford to be built and gave American Bantom a contract for trailers to be built in their Butler PA factory. It is reported that most of the Bantam Jeeps went to Russia.
