Tail Lights

Tail Light bracket

I got a 48 pickup and would like to update to two tail lights, was are is there a bracket for the right side?

The right tail light was an option. You seldom find them but it wouldn't be hard to make something that looks correct since the tail lights used were basically trailer style lights in common use in the 40s and 50s.

Early 49 Pickup Tailight

I am restoring a 49 flatside pick up. It has round guages and only the single rear stoplight. Was this truck meant to have turn signals

The early 49 production was using up let over parts from the CC years like the round gauges. The second tail light was optional and bolted on like a trailer light (same as the single you have). Turn signals would have been the clamp on after market style if at all. I have an early 49 wagon, same problems and plan to add a second trailer style light.

Tail Light Socket

TVR – Fall 2010

The socket in 47's taillight is a marker light with one wire. Who has the correct socket for tail/brake light without buying a whole taillight unit?

Almost any auto parts, it's a standard part.
