Does anyone know when the Crosley Cross was first used on the cars, I'm thinking Post-War, maybe '46 or '47, but.

The first 100 or so 46s were shipped without emblems, the dealers added them later to most of the cars they sold. The T was formed around the nose on the CCs with a clear reflector (a few reds have shown up probably factory mistakes) till the 48 1/2 nose. The back had the T with a red reflector. I have seen the front one missing on enough CCs I'm not sure they were used on all models. The flat T continued on the back of the CD models, again with the red reflector. There are several styles of Ts but I don't really have the break down of which had screws and which and pins and some other minor design differences.
Crosley dropped the front emblem and switch to 48 1/2 bull nose after CC-46174
I think I finally found the right stuff to re-do the red in the crest after rechroming. Looks pretty good. I have to bake it yet but I have done tests and I am happy with the results. What I used was the stuff you get from a craft shop to do painting on glass. It is clear like the original glass and the color is almost perfect. Paint it in let dry for 24 hours then bake in an oven at 365 degrees for 40 minutes. Takes a couple of layers but keeps it glass like look.
