First Part of The WeekThe 2024 photo pages are smaller and very
late. The new website is running very late with assorted
problems and hopefully will have more complete photo
coverage when it is released. I went to the 2024
meet without the responsibility of doing photos for the
website so didn't take the 400 or so photos I have in
the past and only took pictures that I wanted, so with
the 100 or so I took and some I got from Kelly Gladden,
this is what I have for now. Many regular members arrive early to
enjoy the great fairgrounds as a place to camp and spend
time with old friends. A fair number get motel rooms for
the whole week and split time between the fairgrounds
and seeing the area. 2024 was one of, if not our biggest show ever, I didn't hear the final counts on everything. Special Bodied - commercial ventures that used Crosley parts, was the Spotlight class. Here is a short review of the first half of the week. Monday was the Early Bird
Dinner/Picnic, around 70 attended. Much of the early
arrivals spent time doing Crosley talk and catching up,
since most of us only see each other during the
Nationals and online. The Tuesday Crosley Cruise-In,
that was new this year, was canceled because of rain. A
group went out for breakfast on Wednesday. It was the
start of Crafts with Holly for the younger members that
ran most days. The first of several Tech talks was held
and well attended. Old and young a like enjoyed the
Crosley style of BINGO called FARMO on a rainy day.
Early Flea Market vendors tried to open between rain
showers as early as Sunday. |

Saturday - Show TimeThe show day is the best day for seeing Crosleys. When the show field opened, each owner/car was photographed and directed to the proper class on the show field. Lots of other things going on like a Kids Treasure hunt, Flea Market, Trading Post and Silent Auction. Flea Market reaches it's peak, I heard that 26 vendors had registered. Valve Cover Races returned this year, after many years absent, with very heated competition for the adults. I'm sure next year will have some new designs from what was learned and observed. Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony was moved to a different building because of a double booking by the fair office. They promise we will be back in our regular building next year. Day ended with our Memorial Picnic a final meal together. Was time for us to remember those that have come and gone before us and say our goodbys for another year. Show Day Photos |
