The Beast or as Paul Gorrell calls
it "Rusty" was in the number one position of the Spotlight class

Appropriate since it is the number
one VC, the prototype that all that followed was modeled after
|
Paul has lots of notes lettered on
the body to point out the different ideas and experiments the engineers
were trying
|

how all the pieces were welded together.

Very rusty

So rusty that even Paul recognized
that a restoration would be a complete new car with an old serial
number plate, destroying what was left
|
So he mounted #1 to a trailer and showed it the way he bought it back
in the 80s when the dealer that repeatedly refused to sell it to him
from the time it was a drivable Hotshot till he died and Paul bought it
at the estate sale

This was it's 3rd trip to Wauseon
over the years and it is slowly turning to dust and enclosed trailer is
a must now or it would completely self destruct
